Your blog has been migrated to the new, completely redesigned Blogger. Most of the functionality will be familiar as we've built this version to be a more reliable, easier way to manage your blog.

Detailed information on what's new can be found in the FAQ. Here are a few things we'd like you to know:
Special Characters: When you login, if you see that your old posts contain funny characters (like ?'s) instead of the accents, smart quotes or non-Western characters you used to have, you must change the encoding for your blog as found in the Settings | Formatting tab. Do not edit your old posts to manually correct the mistakes. If the encoding you use is not provided, let us know.

If the characters display correctly in the interface, but not when published, you will need to add or change the content-type tag to your template. It should be placed in the of your template and read:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<$BlogEncoding$>" />

Please make these changes right away if you notice the problem.


Active FTP (will not affect Blog*Spot users): Active FTP is not supported in Dano and SFTP support has been introduced. If you run into problems publishing with the same FTP settings that used to work, you should try using SFTP instead.

Also, if your external webhost blocks by IP, you will need to allow through the IPs of the new Blogger pubishers. The IPs are 66.102.15.83 and 216.34.7.186.
